How can we use the funding?

Each eligible school receives a base grant of £16,000 per year, plus an additional £10 per pupil (for Year 1 to Year 6).

Schools have the flexibility to allocate the PE and Sport Premium funding in ways that best support their pupils' physical education and well-being. This may include:

  • Hiring qualified sports coaches to deliver specialised PE sessions.

  • Providing CPD for teachers to improve PE teaching standards.

  • Purchasing new sports equipment to enhance PE lessons and extracurricular activities.

  • Expanding extracurricular opportunities, such as after-school sports clubs.

  • Increasing active play opportunities during break times.

  • Supporting initiatives like the 'Daily Mile' to encourage regular physical activity.

Sports Premium Grant 2024–25

This year we have invested our Sports Premium Grant of £16,350 to strengthen PE and sport across our school. Funding has supported staff CPD to build confidence and skills, the purchase of new sports equipment, and top-up swimming lessons to ensure every child develops essential water safety.

We’ve also been able to provide a range of exciting and inclusive sporting opportunities linked to our individualised curriculum – including horse riding, boxing, gym sessions, bowling, rock climbing, and fishing – giving pupils the chance to try new activities, stay active, and discover lifelong interests.
