The William Henry Smith School is a non-maintained residential special school for boys aged 7 to 19 experiencing Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges. We are a not for profit charitable organisation providing ‘Ofsted Outstanding’ education, therapy and care.  We are currently seeking an Administration Apprentice to join our well-established Support Services Team. To assist the smooth running of the school by providing a professional and effective administration service by creating and maintaining records in respect of staff and pupils using Microsoft Office, assisting with the upkeep of the school website and carrying out various administrative duties with regard to the recruitment, induction and training of staff. 

The candidate will ideally have the following skills and qualifications:

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise own workload
  • ICT and relevant experience of using Word, Excel and Powerpoint
