PGL Activity Camp - January 2012

On Monday 30th January 2012 a group of ten students had the very exciting opportunity to experience 5 days and 4 nights away from school at Winmarleigh Hall.  Winmarleigh Hall is a PGL activity holiday venue based in Preston.

During this special camp the children had the chance to take part in many activities including orienteering, quad biking, wall climbing, archery, zip wires, sensory trail, fencing, building a camp fire, abseiling, climbing a 37ft high log ladder and a Team Challenge.  The students thoroughly enjoyed taking part in all the activities and showed outstanding teamwork, courage, support for others and sheer determination throughout. 

Congratulations to all students who took part in this camp, you should all be very proud of your achievements!

The entire cost of this trip was met by the Happy Days charity organisation who fund trips and outings for special schools and provide opportunities for underprivileged children.  A very big 'WHSS' thank you goes to Happy Days for this fantastic opportunity!
